With healthcare costs rising universally, policy makers, as well as the healthcare industry, have expressed serious concern about the affordability of healthcare, universal accessibility, and the efficiency and efficacy of the healthcare system.Fordham University’s Global Healthcare Innovation Management Centerwas formed to aid in the integration and management of the innovation process in this sector through independent research, training, and opportunity for dialogue and discourse.

<p>Value-Based Purchasing &amp; Care Delivery have had decidedly mixed results over the past 30 years. However, the Pandemic has made the predictability of receiving regular value-based payments much more attractive. This Forum brings the leader of  the federal government's effort to transition from a volume to value-based financing  model with top executives from the provider and payer communities to discuss the way forward that is most beneficial to all stakeholders, especially patients.</p>

<h3>Presentation by Michael Dowling will be pre-recorded.  Dr. Gerry Brogan Sr. VP and Chief Revenue Officer at Northwell will join for Q&amp;A</h3><p>Dr. Gerard X. Brogan, Jr., MD, FACEP graduated from the Long Island Jewish Medical Center Emergency Medicine Residency program as Chief Resident in 1988.  He began at the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Medicine and served as Assistant Medical Director for Clinical Pathways, University Medical Center.  In 1998, Dr. Brogan assumed the Director of Emergency Services role at North Shore University Hospital at Plainview. In 2009 he became the Medical Director, Forest Hills Hospital, and in 2015 was promoted to Executive Director of Huntington Hospital, Northwell Health, served as Medical Director of Revenue Operations for Northwell Health and was promoted to Professor of Emergency Medicine. In 2018 he was promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer.</p>
