Presented by Hally Childs and Chris Hartstein<h2>NVC Dance Floors: Learning the Map by Moving Through It</h2>A slow, playful, embodied introduction to the NVC processBefore we can bring NVC into real-life conversations, let's feel the map of it in our bodies.In this workshop, we slow everything waaaay down and physically “dance” through the NVC steps, using a clear visual Dance Floor to help the process land—not just in our heads, but in our muscles, breath, and nervous system.We’ll practice moving step by step through self-empathy:<ul><li>Judgments</li><li>Observations</li><li>Feelings</li><li>Needs</li><li>Request of Self</li></ul>—which may lead to:<ul><li>Honest Expression (what’s alive in me) or</li><li>Empathic Guess (what might be alive in you) or BOTH. Rather than rushing to “say it right,” we’ll own our intentions and explore:</li></ul><ul><li>How judgment shows up—and how to gently work with it</li><li>How clarity and connection grow when we stay with the process The practice of Honest Expression and Empathic Guess will be done as role plays.</li></ul>✨ Ideal for beginners and those wanting to strengthen their foundations ✨ Movement-friendly, playful, and accessible (no dance experience required!) ✨ A grounding first step before moving into real-life dialogue and “Stealth NVC”Come slow down, step in, and let the map become part of you.More InformationThis Baltimore event occurs monthly on the third Sunday of each month to support NVC understanding and practice.We welcome new participants at any level.
