This course utilizes a learning platform for assignments. It uses synchronous (live Zoom classes with instructors and participant interaction) and asynchronous (Discussion posts and various assignments as per instructor's syllabus, posted via learning platform)

How can I obtain a discount code for my state or other categories?

Accepted Answer

Look for communications from your state education institutions/partners, or contact Beyond Benign (info@beyondbenign.org) to see if your state has discount codes available. These are often first come, first served. NYS has a 100% discount code. Please include school location, state, to receive code.

How many continuing education credits are available for this course?

Can I get NYS CTLE credit/grad level relicensure credit for this course?

Accepted Answer

Beyond Benign is an approved CTLE sponsor as of March 2026. Apply for these credits during the course at no additional cost. Currently you can submit for grad level relicensure credit through Adams University, in CO. Links and details will be shared by instructor at start of course.

Is there an additional cost for the grad level relicensure credit?

Yes. This is an additional cost to the course fee. Adams State University charges $165/3 credits

Who is eligible to apply for the fellowship?

Accepted Answer

This year, only New York State educators are eligible to apply for the fellowship. Only 5 educators will be accepted. These applicants must be registered Advanced Green Chem students, or past Advanced Green Chem students

Question 7

How does the fellowship work?

Accepted Answer

If you are accepted into the fellowship program, as either a registrant or graduate of the Advanced Green Chemistry course, you will meet virtually with Annette Sebuyira, expert Green Chemistry educator, monthly between Sep-Dec 2026, for 1:1 teaching observation; and also with your peer fellows.

How many credits will I be eligible for with the fellowship?

The fellowship is worth 16 hours NYS CTLE credit. Beyond Benign is an approved CTLE sponsor as of March 2026

Question 9

Do my monthly visits include classroom mentoring?

Accepted Answer

Yes, these monthly visits will include virtual visits to your classroom, for observations,  as determined by you and your fellowship mentor

Question 10

What is the cost of the fellowship?

Accepted Answer

There is no cost for the fellowship to NYS educators. The funding is provided by the NYS Pollution Prevention Institute through a grant from the Environmental Fund as administered by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation.
