Quilts of Valor Retreat - 250 Years Of History
This special retreat honors 250 years of courage, service, and the enduring spirit of our nation.
This special retreat honors 250 years of courage, service, and the enduring spirit of our nation. Together, we will piece, stitch, and bind blocks/quilts that offer comfort and gratitude to those who have served and sacrificed.
Throughout the retreat, we’ll work on Quilts of Valor projects designed to reflect the colors, symbols, and stories that shape our American legacy. Whether you’re a seasoned QOV volunteer or sewing your first quilt for a veteran or active-duty service member, you’ll be guided with warmth, support, and community.
This is more than a quilting retreat—
it’s a chance to say thank you.
A chance to remember.
A chance to give back with our hands and our hearts.
Join us as we stitch together history, honor our heroes, and celebrate the 250th year of American independence—one quilt of comfort, respect, and valor at a time.

We know things happen, but if for some reason you need to cancel after you have booked your reservation, please let us know as soon as possible. The retreat is only fully refundable 60 days in advance of the start date. In the event that you are past the 60-day notice and are unable to attend, you may transfer your reservation to someone else or move to another retreat at a later date.
If you need to cancel or have further questions, please email us at retreats@missouriquiltco.com or call us at (816) 265-1812.
Retreat Projects: Our main project for this workshop will be the Beginner's Star that is listed below. We will adapt this pattern to meet acceptable Quilts of Valor requirements. All fabrics for this retreat have been generously donated by Missouri Star, with the understanding that any quilts completed during the event will be donated to our local Quilts of Valor Foundation chapter. If you prefer, you are welcome to make individual blocks instead of a full quilt. Those blocks will later be combined to create a finished quilt for donation. Thank you for your willingness to share your time and talent in honoring our veterans through this meaningful project.
