The Low Light Photo Group Meeting for November

The Low Light Photo Group to discuss upcoming events and a photo review!The Low Light Photo will be meeting on November 18th at 7 PM. The meeting will be an online-only session.You are welcome to participate in Darkness in the Light - A Show and Tell Photo Review. An open-themed photo review to share, review and talk about your more recent work. Also, a chance to bounce off ideas on work in progress.You can upload three images and share them via the Online session directly. You can either upload them to <a href="https://www.meetup.com/Low-Light-Photography-Group/events/281574628/?isFirstPublish=true" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Low Light Meetup Event Page</a> or via email - dono@jpiphoto.com.The meeting is online via Zoom. What is Low Light Photography? In its simplest definition - Creating photographic images with a small amount of light. However, this can describe a wide variety of pictures. Either you are taking photos in the shadows during the day, just after sunset, or in the middle of the night where only you can see the brightest objects. With cameras becoming better at capturing images, there are more and more opportunities with less light. You can record breathtaking and creative pictures of the night sky. Show the passing of light across the sensor with light painting—record amazing city scenes at night and peer into the shadows to see the minor things.

Here is a brief history of the Low Light Photo Group. The Low Light Photo Group started small with about five active participants in 2017. It developed into 20 to 25 active participants — an email list with over 250 people fascinated by low light photography. It started as an extension of my job as the Director of Education for John PhotoImaging (JPI), along with a passion for creating images in low light.There is also a <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/2038000622911970" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Facebook Group Page - The Low Light Group</a> as a way to engage and share with people who&#x27;ve attended past events — sharing images, tips, and tricks. The group page is an extension of the moderator and host, <a href="https://www.facebook.com/fotodono" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Foto Dono</a>.
