Digital Content of Our Dreams: Storytelling to Inspire with Discovery's Virginia Moon

From well-appointed homes to dream vacation destinations and mouth-watering recipes, we&#x27;ve all been transfixed by beautiful content that inspires us to dream more and create more in our day to day lives.On Dec. 1, join PRSA Lookout to hear from Virginia Moon, the woman behind inspiring editorial in the home, food, and travel industries. She is the editorial curator of the HGTV Dream Home Giveaway, and oversees several other digital projects for Discovery brands. In our final festive program of 2021, we&#x27;ll hear how even fabulous lifestyle content needs a well-designed digital strategy.At this event, we&#x27;ll also recognize our 2021 Crown Award recipients.Scheduled for Dec. 1, 2021 from noon to 1 p.m. via Zoom. Free for members and Crown Award nominees; $10 for others. After registering via Eventbrite, you&#x27;ll receive Zoom link via email the day before the event.Virginia Moon BioAs the Managing Editor of Special Projects for Discovery, Inc., Virginia Moon crafts digital editorial strategies to support inspiration and innovation in the home, food, and travel categories. She is the editorial curator of HGTV Dream Home Giveaway, and she oversees the content development for several of Discovery’s largest annual initiatives, in addition to numerous other digital projects for Discovery, Travel Channel, Food Network, HGTV and TLC.Prior to joining Scripps Networks Interactive in 2011, Virginia worked on an assortment of print publications, including National Geographic Kids and Little Kids Magazine. In the digital space, she executed editorial initiatives for many popular Time Inc. brands, including MyRecipes, Southern Living, Cooking Light, Coastal Living, and All You.In addition to building a career in media, Virginia has gained experience in the hospitality industry and higher education. She managed marketing efforts for Blackberry Farm, where she introduced their product line into culinary stores nationwide and executed the curation of their latest cookbook.Virginia has a passion for higher education, which is exemplified through her work at the University of Tennessee where she taught a 400-level Communication Studies course and currently serves on the alumni advisory board for the College of Communication.Virginia holds a Bachelor’s of Art in Communication Studies (2008), a Bachelor’s of Science in Journalism and Electronic Media (2008), a Master’s of Science in Communication Studies from the University of Tennessee (2012), and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee Chattanooga (2020).
