<h2>Keynote:</h2><h1>Claudia Romo Edelman</h1><h2>FOUNDER &amp; EXECUTIVE CHAIRWOMAN,</h2><h2>We Are All Human Foundation</h2><p>Claudia Romo Edelman is a social entrepreneur, an advocate and a catalyst for change. She is a global mobilization expert, a captivating public speaker and media contributor, Claudia is a leader of inclusion, focused on unifying the U.S. Hispanic community and promoting sustainability and purpose-driven activities. Claudia is the Founder of the We Are All Human Foundation, a New York-based non-profit foundation, dedicated to advancing the agenda of diversity, inclusion and equity. She is also a Founder and Co-Host of ‘Global GoalsCast’, a podcast which highlights global progress through the stories of champions making a difference. With an extraordinary background with global organizations, including the United Nations and the World Economic Forum, she has worked on humanitarian causes for 25 years with organizations such as UNICEF, the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. She has launched hundreds of successful campaigns and initiatives including the SDG Lions and Product (RED). Prior to her role at the We Are All Human, she was seconded to the Executive Office of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to lead communications and advocacy for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which she was instrumental in their creation and launch.</p><p><strong>AWARDS &amp; RECOGNITIONS</strong></p><p>Claudia was a Jury Member in 2018 and 2019 for the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Her passion is helping professionals and businesses achieve excellence and reach new levels of performance. <h2>Fireside Chat #1 - "Equality"</h2><h1>Stephanie Martin</h1><h2>Chief Financial Officer of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce </h2><p>Committed to living each day focused on faith, family, and service, Stephanie Martin has dedicated her life to serving and leading by example.</p><p>Stephanie currently is the Chief Financial Officer of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. A $8 million dollar organization with a vision to expand Georgia’s global competitiveness to attract new investment and create opportunity and prosperity for all Georgians. Stephanie oversees the finance, information technology, facilities/operations, and Human resources functions.</p><p>Stephanie is a certified public accountant; she has a Master of Accounting degree from Kennesaw State University. <h2>Fireside Chat #2 - "Equity"</h2><h1>Misty S. Fernandez</h1><h2>Area Manager – Georgia Power Company</h2><p>Misty Fernandez is currently an Area Manager for Georgia Power Company. In this role, Fernandez works with local, regional and state leaders to advance and implement operational, economic, community and charitable strategies for the North Fulton and North Dekalb regions. </p><p>Prior to her current role, Fernandez worked as Assistant to Georgia Power’s Senior Vice President of Charitable Giving and President and CEO of the Georgia Power Foundation. Fernandez helped to lead charitable giving, volunteerism and community relations efforts across the state of Georgia. </p><p>Fernandez has held multiple roles in Georgia Power’s Customer Service organization, supporting the delivery of superior customer value across the company’s customer service channels. She also worked in Georgia Power’s Environmental Affairs organization, ensuring the company’s compliance with state and federal environmental regulations.  </p><p>Fernandez is a graduate of several leadership programs and was recently recognized by the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility as one of 40 high-achieving Hispanic professionals in the U.S., and she was also recognized as one of the 50 Most Influential Latino Leaders in the state by the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. </p><p>In the community, Fernandez serves as chair of the board of directors for the Latin American Association and as member of the board of directors for the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce, North Fulton Community Charities, Roswell Inc., Caminar Latino and Amana Academy. She is a member of the Citizens of Georgia Power and was the inaugural recipient of Georgia Power’s A Citizen Wherever We Serve Community Impact Award. Fernandez is also a former C.A.S.A, having advocated for foster children who are victims of abuse and neglect. </p><p>Fernandez has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Oglethorpe University. <h2>Fireside Chat #2 - "Equity"</h2><h1>Brenda Lopez Romero </h1><h2>Senior Assistant District Attorney for the Gwinnett Judicial Circuit</h2><p>Brenda Lopez Romero is Senior Assistant District Attorney for the Gwinnett Judicial Circuit leading the Justice and Community Initiative. Brenda was the first American Latina elected to the Georgia General Assembly where she sat on the Education, Retirement, and State Planning and Community Affairs committees. She has worked over 15 years in the legal and political advocacy of immigrants and low-income communities. Formerly, she was a principal attorney handling removal defense and immigration and nationality matters. </p><p>Brenda also serves as Chairwoman for the Gwinnett County Democratic Party. Brenda holds a law degree from Syracuse University with a National Security and Counterterrorism certificate and a bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University in Political Science and Sociology. While in law school, she was a clerk for Georgia Legal Services Program, American Civil Liberties Union, and an extern for Trial Judge Laura Galvan Salgado for the First District Court of Morelos in Mexico.</p><p>Brenda has intensive involvement in community organizing and affiliations with the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Hispanic National Bar Association, and Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. She is also a member of Leadership Georgia, Leadership Atlanta, International Women’s Forum, U.S. Global Leadership Coalition, and Truman National Security Project. Brenda is on the board of directors for the Georgia Association of Latino Elected Officials and chairs its federal political action committee. <h2>Fireside Chat #3 - "Justice"</h2><h1>Gianinna Mercado</h1><h3><strong>Vice President, UPS Healthcare Sales</strong></h3><p>As a Vice President of UPS Healthcare Sales, Gianinna Mercado is responsible for delivering UPS’ integrated logistics solutions to the company’s largest healthcare customers around the world.</p><p>Prior to her current role, Gianinna held several Managing Director of Sales positions at UPS, with a range of responsibilities including Latin America Healthcare Enterprise Accounts, Healthcare Global Freight Forwarding, Latin America Healthcare Global Logistics &amp; Distribution, and the Florida and Mid-Atlantic Districts. Early in her career, she rose through the ranks from Sales Representative in 2001, when she first joined UPS, to Sales Manager, Major Account Manager and International Sales Manager.</p><p>Gianinna has managed diverse teams across the world and developed creative logistics solutions for customers, including those in the perishable and cold chain space. Over the past year, her experience has involved extensive engagement with Healthcare companies working to combat the COVID-19 pandemic globally.</p><p>Gianinna is proud to be an advocate, sponsor and active member of the UPS Latino and Women Business Groups. Outside of UPS, she is a member of the Healthcare Business Women Association and the Hispanic Association of Corporate Responsibility, which recognized Gianinna with the Hispanic Corporate Achiever Award. Gianinna is also a board member of Literacy Pittsburgh, advocating for adult and family education efforts in the Pittsburgh area. She attended Business School at the Catholic University in Ecuador, holds an International Business degree from the University of Colorado in Denver and has completed extensive Supply Chain, Cold Chain and Six Sigma training. <h2>Fireside Chat #3 - "Justice"</h2><h1>Deborah Gonzalez</h1><h2>District Attorney, Western Judicial Circuit</h2><p>District Attorney Deborah Gonzalez was elected by the people of Athens-Clarke and Oconee Counties in 2020. Her election proved historic as it made her the first female DA in her circuit, the first minority DA in her circuit, the first Latina DA in the history of GA, and the first female Puerto Rican DA in the country.  DA Gonzalez is committed to building a strong and healthy community by implementing evidence-based reform that promotes public safety. She and her team are dedicated to listening to and supporting victims of crime. <h1>Fri reside Chat Emcee </h1><h2>Dr. Mirkeya Capellán</h2><h3>IT Training, Resource Management, and Strategic Projects at the Mercedes-Benz USA</h3><p>Dr. Mirkeya Capellán is responsible for IT Training, Resource Management, and Strategic Projects at the Mercedes-Benz US. Corporate office in Atlanta, GA. She oversees vendor and resource management activities within IT and leads special projects and initiatives by IT management. Dr. Capellán also manages a quality assurance team responsible for conducting performance, load, stress, and integration testing. Prior to Mercedes-Benz, she worked as a Senior Manager at Sogeti USA, an Information Technology consulting firm. In her twenty plus years in the industry, Dr. Capellán has held several positions and worked within different sectors including, Internet development, graphic design, project management, and quality assurance testing. In her past job she led the New York Testing Practice regional office, aside from serving other roles as the Delivery Manager and Corporate Social Responsibility lead. Dr. Capellán is also an adjunct professor at Pace University where she teaches undergraduate courses in computing.</p><p>Dr. Capellán holds a Doctorate of Professional Studies in Computing from Pace University, a Master’s degree in Information Systems, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, and an Associate’s degree in Liberal Arts. Her research interests include Agile methodologies, testing techniques, and teaching. She and her husband live in Atlanta with their children.</p>
