Overview

In our modern day, reverence of approach and manners of the soul have been forgotten-Let us revive our connection to the Commons of the Soul

Rediscovering Genuine Joy is Remembering We Are Kin with All Life

--and We Need Each Other

In a time of great divisiveness, let us slip outside the culture war and revive our connection with the commons of the soul.

John O’Donohue writes, “So much of what troubles and delights you happens on a surface you take for ground.” His words invite us to the true ground below the surface where we often spend our days.

During this experiential evening, we will explore the commons of the soul and reflect on what happens when we abandon this holy ground. When we abandon soul, we abandon community, the sacred ground of grief and gratitude, the making of elders, connection with ancestors, dedication to future ones, appreciation of beauty, the felt sense of belonging to an ecosystem, and that which can truly sustain a people and a culture. Let’s gather to revive our connection with the commons of the soul, and return to the ground under the ground, the river under the river, that can sustain our lives and foster a community of deep belonging.

Francis Weller said, “We experience little genuine joy in part because we avoid the depths. Many of us have forgotten that we’re a part of an ecosystem, a watershed. We’ve forgotten that we’re kin to all the other animals. We’ve forgotten that we need each other. We have forgotten what I call the “commons of the soul.”

We are alive during this time of what poet Jaiya John calls “the colonizing centuries of the great forgetting.” It is clearly time for the great remembering - for a homecoming to the commons of the soul.

Welcome to our Season 17 ~ ALCHEMY ~ from Lifecycle to Living

This season we offer you a new way to engage--our Friday evenings will have more audience engagement and participation.

You will have the opportunity that evening to begin what we will dive into fully the next day, Saturday, in embodied, highly interactive exploration and practice--together!

This follows Jung's process of alchemy as the compensation for our intense focus on the rational world. He believed alchemy to be the symbolic mirror of our psychological journey into wholeness and self-realization.

Consider investing in yourself each month, this season. Consider giving yourself an entire immersive transformational experience with like-minded, like-hearted community. Renew your heart and soul. Dive and play with us, as Jung himself did, in the the ether of soul and self. We will be weaving Jung's teachings deeply into our explorations. And we will be alchemizing what is ready in our lives to become "gold."
