The Laru Beya Collective + friends will be hosting our second annual Halloween surf costume contest! Yes! Prepare to be surfing in costumes!

Beach 67th Street

We will be giving out prizes to MULTIPLE winners during an on-beach portion and a surfing portion. Surfing is not a must to participate in the costume contest. Categories for the surfing portion are:<ul><li>MONSTER MASH: Rip sticks, middies, logs. OH MY! The contest's main category. Enter at your own risk.</li></ul><ul><li>GROMBIEZ: Grombiez only! Age 16 and below.</li></ul><ul><li>WHITEWATER WEREWOLVES: New to surfing? But want to get wet and have a howlin' of a time anyway? All ages welcome.</li></ul><ul><li>SQUAD GHOULS: The contest's group category. Tandem surfing is not required, but matching thematic costumes are! Contestants will be expected to catch the same wave.</li></ul>Contest prizes donated by our incredible partners (listed on below photo). Up for grabs; surfboards from Positive Vibe Warriors and Surfboard Tribe NYC, gift cards to Pilgrim Surf Supply and YOWIE, clothing from Patagonia, DIOP and Saturdays NYC, skateboard decks from Labor Skateboard Shop, and plenty more.And to sweeten the pot that much more, all contestants also get an automatic entry to win a free night at The Rockaway Hotel.All ticket profits will go to Laru Beya directly. The funds will be used for the development and expansion of our youth surf program and water safety initiatives.
