Overview

Rainbow Girls captivate audiences with soulful harmonies, wild energy, and songs that make you laugh, cry, and sing along.

Rainbow Girls with guest Bart Budwig presented by the Ashland Folk Collective

California indie trio Rainbow Girls are celebrated for their haunting harmonies, powerful songwriting, and magnetic stage presence. Formed at a college open mic called Rainbow House, they began busking and couch-surfing across Europe before refining their sound in 2016 to a raw, acoustic style centered around a single mic. Their intimate harmonies and unfiltered performances have earned them a devoted following across the US and Europe.

Their 2024 album HAUNTING reclaims the word often used to describe female harmonies. As Erin Chapin explains, the record explores the power found in reckoning with trauma, grief, and loss — turning the idea of being “haunting” into a declaration of strength.

Bart Budwig is a soulful, horn-loving songwriter and producer who crafts warm, vintage-leaning records from his sanctuary at the OK Theatre in Enterprise, Oregon. His music blends humor, heart, and a timeless sense of groove that feels both tender and delightfully offbeat.
