About this event
This premier destination event places Missouri's wineries and its famous wines on display in Downtown Excelsior Springs, Missouri.
Whether you are a seasoned wineaux or still figuring out the difference between Moscato and Merlot, this wine tasting event is for you! Wine novices are able to learn more about wines and sample from a comprehensive selection in all varietals, style and price ranges. Wine aficionados enjoy meeting winemakers, asking detailed questions and acquiring Missouri wine selections.
You'll have the opportunity to sample wines from a variety of Missouri wineries, and meet with the owners who have made Missouri famous in the American Wine Market. You will also have the ability to experience Missouri made craft brews and talk directly to the Brewery Owners and Brewmasters.
Local bands will provide the background music and keep the festival lively while you sip and stroll the wineries, breweries, food trucks and vendors at the festival.
There are three ticket options for this year's event that create optional elevated experiences. Below is a list of available ticket options.
Standard Ticket - $45
This ticket includes access to the wine festival grounds from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, wine samples, a souvenir tasting glass, and the option to buy additional wine by the glass, bottle or case.
V.I.P. Tasting Ticket - $55
Beat the crowd with early access! This ticket includes access to the wine festival grounds from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, wine samples, a souvenir tasting glass, and the option to buy additional wine by the glass, bottle or case.
General Admission Ticket - $10
This ticket includes access to the grounds from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM for those not wishing to sample the wines.

There are several different ticket options for this event. General Admission - $10 Standard Tasting Ticket - $45 V.I.P. Tasting Ticket - $55
Yes. All event attendees must be 21 years of age or older. We encourage all event attendees to bring proper identification as they will be carded upon check in at the event.
Sampling tickets include access to the wine festival grounds, free and unlimited samples of wine from all participating wineries, a souvenir tasting glass, and live entertainment.
Maybe. If there are still tickets available, they may be purchased at the gate. Check on ticket availability as this event sells out at 2,000.
Yes. We are proud of you for securing a designated driver for this event! There is a $10 Non-Drinker General Admission Ticket.
No. Outside food and drink is NOT permitted in the festival grounds. No coolers are permitted either.
Yes. Some vendors may provide small snacks at no charge and there will be food vendors available at the event. Additionally, we encourage everyone to enjoy lunch or dinner at one of our many downtown dining establishments.
Chairs and blankets are permitted in the festival grounds. Attendees may also bring wagons to assist in carrying out their wine bottle purchases. Wine bags will be available for purchase at the entrance gate.
Items that are NOT allowed in the festival grounds include backpacks, coolers, outside food and drink, tents, strollers and pets.
Just like major sporting events or concerts, tickets are non-refundable. However, tickets are transferrable through the Eventbrite site.
Yes! We encourage attendees to explore the eateries, drinkeries, shops, and boutiques located in our Historic Downtown. Please note, alcohol is not permitted to leave the festival grounds.
You will check in at the main entrance the day of the event. There will be a line for those who purchased tickets in advance and a line for those wishing to purchase (if available) tickets the day of the event.
Yes. Some popular wines will run out. We can not guarantee they will be available later in the festival hours.
The event concludes at 8:00 PM and attendees are expected to leave at that time.
No. Sorry. Pets are not allowed at the wine festival.
There are a handful of local Uber and Lyft drivers, however we do not recommend depending on these options. We encourage everyone to plan ahead and secure a designated driver for the event.
We encourage all ticket holders to park in one of the public parking lots located in Downtown Excelsior Springs or secure street side parking.
No. Ticket price remains the same regardless of group size.
Yes. The event is hosted on public streets so the grounds are level. There is also an ADA portable restroom in the festival grounds.

Yes. Volunteers are welcome, but space is limited. Those that volunteer will receive free admission to the festival. Contact exec@visitesprings.com for additional information and sign up form.
