The Florida Literacy Conference is back for its 42nd year! Join hundreds of adult education, literacy and family literacy practitioners, teachers, volunteers, and adult learners this spring to network, develop new skills and share promising practices. This premier literacy event will offer:

- 14 conference tracks and approximately 65 sessions to choose from: something for everyone!

What is the schedule for the conference?

What kind of sessions will be offered at the conference?
We are now accepting session proposals. Click here for more information. Please feel free to view the 2025 Conference Program to get a general idea of the types of sessions that will be offered.
When are Pre-Conference Workshops being held?
Pre-conference session(s) take place on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. The session(s) have yet to be scheduled. Please check the website for updates.
May I attend the pre-conference sessions without attending the conference?
Yes.
Can I receive professional development in-service points/hours for attendance?
Yes! For many individuals, conference attendance will help fulfill their in-service professional development requirements. Local school districts or state colleges do the actual awarding of the in-service points for public programs. Each district or college may have slightly different procedures for awarding such points. You will need to check with the appropriate staff person at your institution to complete the required procedures. FLC will be distributing certificates for continuing education hours to individuals who complete the appropriate documentation. You must pre-register for this option on the registration form.

Hotel
How do I make hotel reservations?
You can make reservations directly with the Mission Resort. To reserve your room, please visit the reservation website or call 1-800-874-9053 and ask for the Florida Literacy Coalition room block. Conference room rates begin at $149 per night, plus a $10 nightly resort fee. Reservations must be made before the deadline of April 23, 2026. Group rates do not apply before or after the meeting dates.
Registration
When is my payment due?
To finalize your registration and ensure your spot at the conference, we request that all registration fees be paid no later than April 29, 2026. If you are not paying your fee by credit card at the time you register, we will email an invoice, usually within a week, to the billing contact you provided at registration. Fulfillment of the invoice is expected by April 29, but we understand some school districts and other organizations have restrictions about paying for services before they are rendered, so we can be flexible on a case-by-case basis. Please provide a full explanation under the "comments" section if this applies to you.
What is the cancellation policy?
CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations must be received in writing no later than April 21, 2026. Please send cancellation requests to riveraj@floridaliteracy.org. A $25 administrative fee will apply to all cancellation requests; refunds will be issued 4-6 weeks after the conference. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after April 21, 2026, or for “No-Show” registrants. Membership fees are non-refundable.
TRANSFER POLICY: If you are unable to attend for any reason, you may transfer your registration to another individual for free. The registrant must provide a written request and a complete registration form for the replacement person by April 29, 2026. The replacement must be of equal value. Please send the request to riveraj@floridaliteracy.org.
How can I get a receipt?
A receipt should be emailed to you after your registration and payment are received and processed. If you do not receive an email receipt, please contact Jannellie Rivera at riveraj@floridaliteracy.org.
