Join us for our 2025 AGMDoors open 6:30pmAGM &amp; Presentation - 7:00pmRefreshments will be served.The evening will start with guest speaker Susan Holroyd from the Alberta Community Bat Program talking about Bats in Calgary - "From Ecology to Emerging Threats: Understanding How to Protect Alberta’s Bats"Join us for a deep dive into Alberta’s bats: who they are, how they navigate the night through echolocation, and the habitats they rely on throughout the province. We’ll explore current conservation concerns, movement ecology, and practical ways the public can contribute to bat protection. The session also includes recent bat program updates and guidance on when and how to use caution around bats.Susan L. Holroyd, MSc, is the Conservation and Outreach Coordinator for the Alberta Community Bat Program at Wildlife Conservation Society Canada. She earned her master's degree from the University of Calgary, focusing on the behavioral ecology of bats with two field seasons in Medicine Hat. Susan has contributed significantly to bat conservation efforts across western Canada and is always happy to share knowledge about one of our most misunderstood species groups, bats.This presentation will be followed by our formal AGM, concluding with Sara Jordan-McLachlan giving a presentation on Calgary Connect: Wildlife Monitoring in the Urban Environment
