Fashion is a cycle of plays designed in recombinant form — an ongoing, wardrobe-like text in which each play can be worn separately, layered, or reassembled. With each iteration, the plays are placed in new relation to one another.

In this iteration, two plays follow a community’s search for new forms of attention. In tracing the evolving conditions of creation itself, the plays ask: how do we continue to build — relationships, art, futures — amidst shifting ground?

The Exponential Festival is a 501c3 January performance festival for NYC-based artists working in experimental performance. The participants in this multi-artist, multi-venue festival are committed to ecstatic creativity in the face of commercialism. Exponential is driven by inclusiveness and a diversity of artists, forms, and ideas coupled with utopian resource-sharing, mentoring and the championing of risky, rigorous work in eclectic fields. theexponentialfestival.org
