ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR NaToyia “Toy” Nicole is a Licensed Vibrational Sound Therapist, an advocate against childhood sexual abuse, and the author of In Zhavey’s Eyes: Don’t Tell Anyone. NaToyia Nicole began her private vibrational sound healing practice in 2021 after first exploring singing bowls in 2006. NaToyia Nicole’s career in human relations and civil rights began over twenty years ago advocating and ensuring the rights and protections of homeless youth, the LGBTQIA community, women, children and families that have been affected by societal and circumstantial disadvantages. As an active proponent for the Missouri Constitutional Amendment 2, Missouri Evidence in Sexual Crimes Against Minors, the law passed and paved the way in protecting children across Missouri. Her contributions have lead her from the courtroom as a Victim Advocate at the Johnson County and Jackson County District Attorney’s Office to Chicago Public Schools where her efforts in Civil Rights initiatives and child welfare lead her to develop, implement, and enforce training and civil rights laws in order to Protect Chicago’s Children. Her specialization in soundbathing survivors of childhood sexual abuse emerged from professional experience in both fields.
