Life Drawing Session with Ana Benaroya

The FLAG Art Foundation is a nonprofit exhibition space that encourages the appreciation of contemporary art among diverse audiences. Founded in 2008 by art patron and philanthropist Glenn Fuhrman, FLAG presents rotating exhibitions that include artworks borrowed from a variety of sources. FLAG invites a broad range of creative individuals to curate thematic group shows and works in-depth with artists to provide curatorial support and a platform to realize solo exhibitions.

Join FLAG and artist Ana Benaroya on Wednesday, November 12, 6-8 PM for a life drawing session on the occasion of the artist’s solo exhibition <a href="/exhibitions/anabenaroya" title="/exhibitions/anabenaroya" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Ana Benaroya: Eternal Flame</a>. Materials will be provided. Ana Benaroya (b. 1986, New York, NY) is an artist and educator living and working in Jersey City, NJ. Benaroya earned a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore, MD, in 2008, and an MFA in Painting at Yale University, New Haven, CT, in 2019. Recent major exhibitions include Tenura/Fuerza, curated by Galerie Sardine, Le Consortium, Dijon, France (2025); On Holy Ground, Venus Over Manhattan, Art Basel Hong Kong, Hong Kong, China (2024); In My Room: Ana Benaroya, Tom of Finland, and Karl Wirsum, Venus Over Manhattan, New York, NY (2023); Beneath the Paper Moon, Carl Kostyal, Stockholm Sweden (2022); among others. Her work has been featured in numerous group exhibitions, including Carnival, curated by Joe Coleman, Jeffrey Deitch, New York, NY (2025); The Cloak of Dreams, Shenzhen Museum of Art, Shenzhen, China (2025); The Way I See It: Selections from the KAWS Collection, The Drawing Center, New York, NY (2024); Conversations Galante, Pilar Corrias, London, United Kingdom (2024); among others. Benaroya has been the subject of articles and reviews in publications including Artnet News, Cultured, Document Journal, Juxtapoz Magazine, New York Magazine, The New York Times, Playboy, W Magazine, WWD, among others. Her work is part of the permanent collections of such public institutions, as The Bass Museum, Miami, FL; The High Museum, Atlanta, GA; Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami, Miami, FL; Leslie Lohman Museum of Art, New York, NY; The Mint Museum, Charlotte, NC; Pérez Art Museum, Miami, FL; and The Portland Art Museum, Portland, OR.
