YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID (2 part PM Training)

City of Maple Valley

Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches how to identify, understand, &amp; respond to signs of mental illness &amp; substance use disorders in youth.

Please note: This training will be split over 2 evenings Thursday, 10/28 and Friday, 10/29 from 5:00 - 7:30pm. This training gives adults who work with youth the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to children and adolescents (ages 6 -18) who may developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.Who Should Take This Training: <ul><li>Teachers</li><li>School Staff</li><li>Coaches</li><li>Camp Counselors</li><li>Youth Group Leaders</li><li>Parents</li><li>People who work with youth</li></ul>Training Materials will be available for pick up at Maple Valley City Hall.
