The OHSU Innovation Awards celebrate the researchers, clinicians and collaborators who are turning bold ideas into real-world impact. This signature event highlights transformative technologies, powerful partnerships, and the innovators driving Oregon’s science and healthcare ecosystem forward.

Evening schedule
4–5 p.m.: Networking with OHSU innovators, researchers, and partners
5–5:45 p.m.: Award ceremony recognizing this year’s distinguished awards
5:45–7 p.m.: Reception with complimentary drinks and hors d’oeuvres

Early Career Innovator: Yasmeen Elsawaf, M.D., Resident Physician, PGY-5, Neurological Surgery, School of Medicine

Career Innovation Excellence: Brian J. Druker, M.D., CEO, OHSU Knight Cancer Institute, JELD-WEN Chair of Leukemia Research

New Innovator of the Year: Rebecca Spain, M.D., MSPH, Associate Professor of Neurology, School of Medicine

Partnership Excellence: Jamie Lo, M.D., MCR, Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, School of Medicine

All other innovators recognized in this year’s program will also be celebrated, and new members will be inducted into the OHSU chapter of the National Academy of Inventors.
