Yoga in the Galleries: Saturday Mornings

Previously known as the Arlington Arts Center, the Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that enriches community life by connecting the public with contemporary art and artists through exhibitions, education programs, and an artists-in-residence program. Located at 3550 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA, the museum is open Wed.-Sun. 12-5pm. The museum has free on-site parking, is easy to reach by metro and bus, and is accessible. Join us for an inspiring yoga flow in the gorgeous Tiffany Gallery! Now, with TWO Class times: 9:30am-10:30am & 11am-12pm

Yoga in the GalleriesYoga in the Galleries is a 60-minute yoga session designed to inspire and uplift. Hosted in the beautiful Tiffany Gallery every Saturday morning, you will be invited to move your body towards a presence with your inner creative. Agenda

Erin Mackay is a Vinyasa yoga teacher who strives to create an environment where yogis can build a flexible practice that honors their needs.  Erin completed her Yoga Alliance-certified teacher training in 2016 and taught at YogaWorks (FKA Tranquil Space) in Arlington until 2020. When not in yoga pants, Erin is a women's health advocate and a chocolate chip cookie aficionado.

1st Saturdays: Erin Mackay

 AJ first began her movement journey as a ballet and tap dancer, turning to yoga as a college student over 20 years ago. In 2013, she discovered barre, becoming a certified barre instructor the following year. After being diagnosed with degenerative spinal arthritis, however, she was forced to abandon teaching and focus on rehabilitation and pain management. After regaining mobility, AJ returned to her yoga study as a way to manage her condition and reestablish confidence in her mind-body connection. Motivated by what she's learned about strength, health, and well-being since her diagnosis, AJ brings energy and creativity to every class, while ensuring comfort and suitability for all levels. 

2nd Saturdays: AJ Orlang-van Niekirk

Anastassia Kornilova discovered yoga as part of her journey to cultivate better mental and physical health. Initially completing her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training to gain a deeper understanding of the practice, she realized that she loved teaching and supporting others. She believes that yoga mirrors daily life, and she hopes to help her students cultivate strength, resilience and flexibility in both. 

3rd Saturdays: Anastassia Kornilova

Devyn (she/her) is a storyteller, multidisciplinary artist, and RYT-200 yoga instructor based in Washington, DC. Devyn uses movement/embodiment practices and sound healing as a tool for creative expression. With gentle asana, guided meditations, breathwork, and her soothing handpan, her classes are deeply meditative, and encourage a practice of surrender.
