Yes. BAILA is all ages with minors under adult supervision.

How can I sign up to volunteer for this event?

Thank you for your interest in volunteering! Please sign up for a time slot at Lapena.info/volunteer. Volunteers get free entry.

Question 3

Will there be food and drinks?

Yes. Los Cilantros Mexican restaurant, located inside La Peña, will be open with dinner. We will also have La Peña's fundraising bar open for the night.

Is La Peña wheelchair accessible?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All public areas of our cultural center are wheelchair accessible, with step-less entry, wide doorways, and accessible restrooms. Note: BAILA is one of our most popular events, and the dance floors are common areas that can become very full throughout the night.

How can I get to La Peña via public transit?

Accepted Answer

Bus: The 18 bus line stops directly across the street (Shattuck & Woolsey).  Ashby BART is two 2 blocks away. Street parking is available but very limited. Bike racks are available on our block.

Are gender-neutral restrooms available?

Accepted Answer

Yes. La Peña has three all-gender restrooms available to the public.

How do I share my access need?

Accepted Answer

If you have specific accessibility needs or accomodations please email programs@Lapena.org with the subject line "Accessibility Request - [Event Name]" at least one week before the event. We believe access is collective care.
