Teetotal Tastes: The South Side

Teetotal Initiative is a Pittsburgh-based 501(c)3 non-profit focused on individuals committed to a sober lifestyle.Teetotal Initiative’s inclusive and sober-focused high-quality programming addresses some of the most common causes of relapse - isolation, boredom, and loneliness. Our mission is to help individuals to sustain sobriety. Our goal is to enhance quality of life and support relapse prevention through free events, activities, and high-quality programming.​As the first-of-its-kind recreational sober community, Teetotal Initiative inspires a stigma-free and celebratory social atmosphere, promoting meaningful sobriety and community opportunities for all, regardless of their journey to recovery. We welcome all forms of recovery and are not aligned to any specific program. Teetotal Initiative does not provide support groups or professional medical services. Instead, we care for the “rest of life” that happens outside of formal treatment and group support and are a complement to anyone’s recovery toolbox.

Teetotal Tastes: The South Side!Due to some unexpected closures in Harmony, we’re heading to one of Pittsburgh’s most colorful and iconic neighborhoods instead —&nbsp;The South Side!&nbsp;🌈Join Teetotal Initiative and our friends at&nbsp;Burgh Bits &amp; Bites&nbsp;for a delicious walking food tour through Pittsburgh’s “Great American Main Street.” This vibrant stretch of&nbsp;East Carson Street&nbsp;is bursting with life — from funky boutiques and art galleries to historic Victorian architecture and mouthwatering eateries.Get ready to sample your way through the South Side’s eclectic food scene — think empanadas, tacos, donuts, milkshakes, pizza, and more! Along the way, soak in stories of the neighborhood’s past, admire its distinctive architecture, and maybe even spot a tattoo shop or two (or go all in and dye your hair purple — we won’t judge!).It’s a feast for your senses and a reminder that connection, community, and creativity are always on the menu.Don’t miss this flavorful stroll through one of Pittsburgh’s most vibrant and historic neighborhoods!
