What if I can't afford the fee?

There are 5 scholarships available to cover the entire fee. These are reserved for those demonstrating need and commitment to Palestinian solidarity. Please email notetoselfschool@pm.me  if you would like to request a scholarship.

What if I can't attend every session?

Attendance at all sessions is important because one of the goals of the course is to make connections and have conversations with the other participants. That said, life happens and if something unexpected comes up, just shoot me an email!

I don't know anything about the topic, is this class for me?

Accepted Answer

Yes! No prior knowledge required, just a desire to learn. Maybe you just hear stuff in the background but don't know what to make of it, or see protests and don't understand what they're about- this course will give you a big-picture understanding and make you a better global citizen.

I'm already knowledgeable about the topic, is this class still for me?

Previous students who came with prior knowledge still learned new information and found a lot of value in the group conversations and reflection practices.  The course agenda is below. Take a look and see if you could benefit from some of the topics covered.

I'm a Zionist. Is this class anti-zionist?

Accepted Answer

Zionism is the belief that the land of Palestine belongs exclusively to Jews by divine right. This class is against this ideology. However, anti-zionism does not equate to antisemitism. Jews are a welcome and important part of working for peace and justice in Palestine.
