Absolutely!!!  Call first; make sure Exec. Director Michael C. Clarke (MCC) is there.  MCC will entertain all with Irish song/music … he plays multiple instruments, including the piano accordion, and sings … Mr. Clarke used the p. accordion as a form of corporal punishment with his own children!  ?

Do I have to be of Irish American descent to attend?

No!  The Erie Canal is part of the heritage of all New Yorkers as well as the Irish and Irish Americans.

Is there parking at the Irish American Heritage Museum?

Accepted Answer

There is FREE on-street parking along Broadway and Spencer St. weekdays after 5pm and weekends, all day.  Preferred parking (cheapest) is Quackenbush Parking Lot, located behind Quackenbush Square at 45 Montgomery St.  Rates $1 hour/$8 max. NB: paid parking on Montgomery St. NOT the Q-Lot, so $$$$.

Dinner with the Captain and Crew!!!!  How cool is that??!!??

You bet.  It is catered by O’Slattery’s Irish Restaurant and Pub.  A completely fab menu, including salad, reubens, stuffed mushrooms with Irish bangers, an Irish-inspired pasta dish, and dessert.
