Where do I park to attend Waffle Shop

FREE parking will be available in Nissan Stadium Lot R (north) There are 2 access gates in this lot: Victory Ave. and S. 1st Street.  Old Town Trolley is providing a complimentary shuttle  to and from the church.

Question 2

What are the meal options?

Accepted Answer

Each meal includes homemade waffles, grits, and a side. You have the choice of Hattie B's Hot Chicken tenders (hot or not), Puckett's Country Bacon, and turkey hash made from DPC's original Waffle Shop recipe. The meal also includes water and your choice of Frothy Monkey coffee or spiced tea.

How is the money from Waffle Shop used?

Accepted Answer

100% of the proceeds from Waffle Shop are allocated for DPC's Meal Ministry. As Nashville’s need for homeless outreach has increased, the church has expanded its mission.  Your support enables us to continue providing a free breakfast and essential items to anyone in need each Saturday morning!

Question 4

Will I be able to see the sanctuary while I attend Waffle Shop?

Accepted Answer

Yes!  We have several entertainment activities planned this year. Jim Hoobler, church historian, will be giving free tours of the sanctuary. This year, we will also have an organ recital by Dr. William Taylor and a Christmas carol singalong!

Does Waffle Shop still offer Christmas Shopping options?

Accepted Answer

Waffle Shop is  aptly named! It's the perfect event to get a jump start on your holiday gift giving. This year's charity bazaar  will be full of  handmade crafts, baked goods,  artwork, and holiday gifts featuring local businesses and area attractions.

Is The Downtown Presbyterian Church still an active church?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely!  DPC is an active congregation. Worship services are held each Sunday at 11 a.m.  Visit dpchurch.com to learn more about our missions, ministries, and community events. Volunteers are always welcome to  serve meals on Saturday mornings!

Question 7

Does the pipe organ work?

Accepted Answer

Walking into our sanctuary for the first time, it’s hard to say which is more striking: the Egyptian Revival motif or the organ.  It has over 2,700 pipes! You can hear the organ during Sunday Worship when it is played by our Music Director, William Taylor, and accompanied by our choir.
