This event will be a heartwarming occasion filled with smiles, laughter, and unforgettable moments as we honor the hard work and growth of our young learners. We hope you will join us in celebrating this important milestone in their lives.Come join the fun and be part of this joyous occasion as we say goodbye to Kindergarten and hello to the next adventure! We ask that all who plan to attend register, so we can ensure we are not exceeding capacity at each of the event spaces. There is a limit of 8 tickets per family. You may check back the week before the event to see if there are any unclaimed tickets for additional guests.In preparation for these ceremonies, we would like to share information we think will be helpful in your planning of attendance and participation. CHECK-IN PROCEDURE:Upon arrival, please check in with an Epic staff member who will be located just inside the front entrance.ITINERARY:1:30 pm-2:00 pm Check In with Epic Staff2:00 pm-3:30pm Kindergarten Ceremony-Students will walk across the stage and receive a certificate of participation for being a part of Epic's 2026 Kindergarten class.3:30pm-4:00pm Gather and congratulate students while taking as many pictures as you like with our photo props. Additional answers to the questions you may have regarding this event:"By participating in this ceremony, does this mean my student has officially graduated from their current grade level?”The ceremony will not guarantee promotion to the next grade; students will need to complete all necessary coursework for promotion. AttireStudents will wear dressy-casual, also referred to as Sunday Best or a graduation cap and gown. We will not be providing caps and gowns but you may choose to purchase one on your own. Many online sources sell caps and gowns. Do I have to purchase a cap and gown?No, it is not a requirement.Can I invite guests?Yes, you may, but we do have limited space at each location. We are limiting tickets to 8 per family. You may check back the week before to see if there are any extra tickets for additional guests. If you register a guest and you know they will no longer be able to attend, we kindly ask that you cancel tickets, so we can make those tickets available to others.Is there a cost associated with this event?NoWill there be a professional photographer?No, but we will have several backdrops set up for you to take as many pictures as you like of your student.Can a student request to sing at the graduation?Yes, please send a video of the student performing a song of their choosing to shannon.george@epiccharterschools.org no later than March 7th. A request will be considered but is not a guarantee. A committee will watch submissions and vote, then we will reach out with an acceptance letter.What about ADA accommodations?All of our locations are ADA-approved. If you require special modification, please email shannon.george@epiccharterschools.org as soon as possible.Can students attend more than one ceremony?No, we ask that students only attend one ceremony.Will there be a live stream of the ceremony?No, we will not have a live stream of the ceremony.Do all Kindergarten students have to participate?No, but we encourage students to attend to mark this important event in their lives.Will Epic staff continue planning to make this event the best it can be for all students?Yes, absolutely, you can bet on it! MEDIA POLICY:This is a public event, and photographs and/or video may be taken during the activities. If you would prefer that your student not be photographed or videoed, please let our Epic staff know during check-in.Service Animals: Families, please contact the event location by calling them directly to confirm whether service dogs are allowed.Sensory Bags: Sensory bags will be available to check out for use at this event. Upon arrival, see any Epic Family Engagement team member to check a bag out and return all sensory bags to an Epic Family Engagement team member before leaving the event. To cancel the reservation and allow other students to attend in those spots, you will go to the email sent from Eventbrite with the subject line: Your Tickets for the Kindergarten Graduation. Then scroll to the bottom of the email and click the words "View and Manage your online order." This will open up spots for other families.Questions?
