What is a Carer?  How do I know if I qualify?

Someone caring for someone at home with a physical disability of mental health concern. If you are a paid professional please contact us for details of our professionals programs. If you are a parent but your children does not have special needs, please contact us regarding training for parents.

Question 2

Do I need to be registered with the Carers Gateway to be funded?

Accepted Answer

No, this is funded for carers even if you are not registered and currently get no funding. Our team can also help you access this if you want it.  But it's not required for this training.

Question 3

If I care for a young person, is the Standard Mental Health First Aid relevant to me?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the content is very similar to the Youth MHFA qualification, and provides standard practices for mental health conditions that are relavant to all ages and is applicable to anyone.

Question 4

Do I need to attend both days of the MHFA training?

Accepted Answer

Yes - in order to receive a certificate of attendance or certificate of accreditation, attendance on both is required.
