MartinIn the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson wrote that one of our inalienable rights is “the pursuit of happiness”, and yet it seems that we all spend a great deal of time looking for what brings us joy. On Friday, November 7, join the Junior Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh in a performance of choral music that explores where we can find that happiness that is so often promised but not always attained. This talented group of young singers will search for joy around the world with works from Malaysia, Bosnia, Ireland, and the United States, featuring the music of Reena Esmail, Tracy Wong, Flory Jagoda, B.E. Boykin, and more. This is an evening of music-making not to be missed; you’ll leave with confidence in our next generation of choral singers and, hopefully, you’ll be well on your way to finding your own joy.Venue and Accessibility InfoThird Presbyterian Church is located on the corners of Fifth and South Negley Avenues in Shadyside. There is a parking lot next to the church on Fifth Avenue with a limited number of handicapped spaces, as well as street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods. Disposable masks will be available at the door.
