How do I get to the career fair?

Accepted Answer

Meet at the Construction Innovations Center (Bldg. 186) and take the free campus shuttle that will run between the career fair and campus. The shuttle service starts at 8:30 am and runs until 4:30 pm, departing every 30 minutes. You may also drive yourself. Parking is free but limited.

What do I wear?

Please dress to impress. Business casual is encouraged—think along the lines of a polo with nice jeans, or a dressier top. First impressions are important, so leave the shorts and t-shirts at home.

What should I bring?

Accepted Answer

Bring at least 30 copies of your resume in a folder or portfolio with space for notes. Many companies also provide merchandise, so it’s a good idea to bring a bag to carry any materials or giveaways. Avoid bringing anything that you don't plan to carry with you. Backpack storage space is limited.

What do I need to do to prepare?

Update your resume - make sure it’s polished, concise, and tailored to highlight relevant experience. Review and research the companies attending the career fair to see who you want to talk to and know some questions to ask. Be ready to network and interview, and be confident!
