What is The Glowing Hearth?

The Glowing Hearth is a living sanctuary and suburban homestead dream shared by Hannah, James, and their beloved animal companions (Fylia Fox & the kittens Jinks & Lynx). Our home is the perfect place to host intimate events that take place in the glow of our great wood-burning fireplace.

What should I bring to the event?

Accepted Answer

More preparation details will be shared upon registration, but for the most part we encourage you to come wearing comfortable clothes that you can move and breathe easily in. You may want to also bring blankets, cushions or back-jacks for comfy floor seating although we do have extras available.

Question 3

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Accepted Answer

The gathering space known as the great room is on the ground level and accessible directly from the parking area. However, the bathrooms, kitchen, and dining area are located up a small set of stairs, so if wheelchair accessibility is a requirement please reach out to us directly to coordinate.

Question 4

Can I attend if I have pet allergies?

Accepted Answer

While we do our best to keep a clean home, we do share our space with canine and feline companions, so if your allergies to pet dander are extreme please consider inviting us to your home or preferred venue to offer seasonal rituals and specialized events!

Will there be food?

Accepted Answer

We will provide a vegan stew, nourishing beverages, and dessert as well as an animal protein option for our sumptuous feast after the ritual. Guests are encouraged to bring a potluck dish to share as well, and we do have a fully stocked kitchen for food prep or to warm dishes as needed.

What is "Embodiment"?

Embodiment is the practice of coming out of our heads and into our bodies to access our life-force, clear energetic stagnation, feel our emotions, and bring healing on deeper levels. Embodiment techniques include various types of movement, breath work, visualization, vocalization, and self-touch.

What if I can't afford the financial contribution requested?

Accepted Answer

There are a variety of ways for everyone to contribute to making this event a success. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Please reach out to the organizers at theglowinghearth.com with your special financial consideration request, and we will come up with a fair exchange together.
