WHO WE ARE:Founded in 1972, at the zeitgeist of the Third World Liberation Movement, Kearny Street Workshop is the oldest Asian Pacific American multidisciplinary arts organization in the country.WHAT WE DO:Offering classes and workshops, salons and student presentations, as well as professionally curated and produced exhibitions, performances, readings and screenings, KSW makes artists out of community members and community members out of artists. For the past 41 years, KSW has nurtured creative spirit, offered an important platform for new voices to be heard, and connected artists with community.MISSION & VISION:Our mission is to present, produce, and promote art that empowers Asian Pacific American communities, with the ultimate vision of a more just society that fully incorporates our historical roots, cultural values, and contemporary issues.

<h3>Co-presented by Kapwa Gardens</h3><h3>November, 6 2021 3-6pm PT$15 standard ticket, $30 ticket+suggested donation, $15 sponsor-a-ticket, $50 all access (comes with free t-shirt)</h3><h3>Due to the ongoing pandemic we’re anticipating major revenue shortages for this year’s festival, but, as they say, the show must go on. If you have the means,please consider donating or sponsoring a ticket to help us make up the difference and provide access to the festival for someone in need.</h3><h3>This in-person event will be held outdoors at Kapwa Gardens. Please fill out their contact tracing app before the event. Vaccine cards will not be checked at the door but we kindly request attendees that are of age to have completed their vaccination cycles. As we continue to social distance and keep each other safe, we are collectively imagining what intimacy and closeness mean. During times of sickness, violence, and injustice, how do we come together in community and in radical care? What do we hold close in our lives and in our art? What do you embrace as you step into your artistic power?
