Each month, we bring together anyone who loves cigars, libations, and good conversation for cigar and spirits pairings, live jazz events, summer rooftop events, new product releases and more. After more than 200 gatherings over 10 years, Fine Tobacco Club now seeks to bring new experiences, friendships, and products to fine tobacco lovers everywhere.

Featuring the NY launch of the new Aging Room Rare Collection by Rafael Nodal, paired with Glendronach and Benriach Scotches

The Carnegie Club

On Wednesday, September 29th at The Carnegie Club, we have the distinct privilege of hosting the official launch of the new Aging Room Rare Collection by Rafael Nodal. Guests will smoke this new cigar and pair with two superb single malts from Glendronach and Benriach. All with a back drop of live jazz.Aging Room Rare Collection by Rafael Nodal comes on the heels of numerous Cigar Aficionado Top 25 placements, including the No 1 cigar of 2019, the Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua. As Cigar Aficionado reports,Called Aging Room Rare Collection by Rafael Nodal, the new brand is “intended to offer small runs based on the availability of rare and superbly well-aged tobaccos.” So says the mission statement. But what makes the tobacco in these upcoming cigars rare? In this case, it’s a specific hybrid Cuban-seed wrapper grown in Nicaragua by Fernandez on his flagship farm, known as La Lilia. There’s also a bit of Pelo d’Oro in the blend, which is a tobacco grown in small quantities due to its low yield and susceptibility to disease. Our spirits for the evening from Glendronach and Benriach are sherry-rich single malts selected to pair with and complement the robust character of the all-Nicaraguan cigar.
Tickets
For 24 hours, a limited number of tickets are $35 online (a $70+ value!). Aging Room Rare CollectionThe Aging Room Rare Collection is intended to offer limited small runs of cigars utilizing superbly well-aged tobaccos, some of the rarest produced by AJ Fernandez's farms. For the first in the Rare Collection series, the all Nicaraguan cigar sports a Cuban seed hybrid wrapper.

Benriach The TwelveTo make Benriach Twelve, Benriach spirit is three cask matured for at least twelve years in sherry casks, bourbon barrels and port casks. The whisky from each cask is then expertly married together to create a smooth, sherry-rich single malt, layered with baked fruit, maple honey and cocoa, perfectly balanced with a lingering sultana and spiced mocha finish.
Glendronach 12 YearThis superb richly sherried single malt is matured for at least 12 years in a combination of the finest Spanish Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks. The GlenDronach 12 year old Original is a sweet, creamy dram bottled at 43% ABV and natural in colour.

One of the last spots where New Yorkers can still mix scotch and smoke. New York Magazine captured it perfectly when it wrote, "An air of vintage class pervades this sprawling midtown cigar bar—just what you'd expect from the team responsible for Grand Central's Campbell Apartment."
