Dixon Water Foundation is offering a chance to hike and birdwatch on their Alamito Creek Preserve property in Presidio County, Texas. Accompanying the hike will be bird researchers from the Borderlands Research Institute at Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas. Fall migration will still be taking place for some species.
Attendance is free, but spots are limited. Attendees must be able to walk in a rocky creek bed for 1 mile (2miles round trip) and must drive in their own vehicle to the property entrance, roughly 30 miles south of Marfa on Highway 169. More details to follow once registered.
