Celebrate the Schuylkill River & native traditions!

The Discovery Center

Friends, families and neighbors of the FWWIC are invited to join us in our annual celebration of River Days! Enjoy hands-on activities throughout the day and stay for a live performance of the Cultural Heritage Fund Group, comprised of citizens of the Nanticoke Lenni Lenape tribe. Performance presented by the Lenapehoking~Watershed, a place for water, art and culture.

Lenape performance/presentation starts at 1pm!

Space is limited, so be sure to secure a space for you and your family today!

Due to extreme flooding at the Interpretive Center, this event will be held at our partner location, The Discovery Center (3401 Reservoir Drive, Phila., PA 19121).

Note: Hurricane Ida is the second storm in recent years that has caused flooding forcing us to close our doors to the public. We know extreme weather due to climate change; upstream development will continue to impact the region and we are working on strategies to minimize future closures.
