Overview
Spend the day learning about Ossabaw Island and her ancient people by exploring what is underground.
Assist with digging, sifting, sorting, washing and bagging archaeological finds. Led by the Georgia Dept. of Natural Resources’ Archaeology Division and the Pennsylvania State University , this excavation of nineteenth century site of enslaved housing will occur at the North End of Ossabaw.
Trip is organized and hosted by the Ossabaw Island Foundation.
