Calling all Sacramento residents! Join us for a virtual letter writing party to demand that our city eliminates emissions by 2030.

A recent report from the United Nations acknowledged that the climate crisis was such a severe threat to the future of our planet that they deemed this moment "a code red for humanity." Here in Sacramento, we're no strangers to the climate crisis. Every year, fires ravage our state, droughts plague our communities, and the air fills with toxic smoke. Despite all of this, our leaders have not approached the climate crisis with the urgency that it deserves. We're calling on the City of Sacramento to eliminate carbon emissions by 2030, in line with scientific recommendations from the United Nations IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), rather than use their current goal of carbon neutrality by 2045.In honor of the Global Day For Climate Action on September 24th, we'll be hosting a virtual letter writing party to advocate for this cause on the 24th from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Join us for a night of fun and environmental activism!
