As if! </p><p>Put on some serious bling-bling for a Baller night featuring the most iconic throwback hits, fresh as ever! </p><p>PS: Rest assured there is a Batli Award waiting for the winner! 🍾 </p><p>༺༻</p><h2>Plan For The Night:</h2><p><strong>Doors at 7:00pm</strong></p><p><strong>Music Starts 8pm: </strong>It&#x27;s going down ALL NIGHT LONG with yours truly till 12 am!</p><p><strong>Costume Contest at 11pm! </strong>My homies will personally come &amp; tell you to get yourself on the stage at 11pm should your outfit be worthy of the BATLI AWARD! </p><p>༺༻</p><h2>COVID-19 Entrance Requirement: </h2><p>State of Oregon &amp; Multnomah County requirements on September 17th will be enforced on the day of the event. As of now there is a new mandate in place (wearing a mask unless actively eating or drinking) hence we presently won&#x27;t be checking Vaccination proof nor require RT PCR. </p><p>Everyone will need to be masked up even while dancing. If this changes by September 17th, we will modify accordingly. </p><p>Let&#x27;s be safe AND let&#x27;s keep the party rockin&#x27;. </p><p>Aaj... aaj ek baar party aur karlo, kya pata - Kal Ho Na No! 😊</p><p>༺༻</p><h2>General Guidelines @ Every JAI HO! </h2><p>Creating a safe &amp; celebratory space is my number one priority at every event I host. </p><p>And I would love for you to be an accomplice of mine by greeting &amp; treating everyone like you would like to be treated. With equality, mutual respect, and a big smile. </p><p>I know this does not apply to you because you are awesome but for the other people who it may be relevant to, I have zero tolerance for bigotry, racist remarks and general reckless behavior including but not limited to fighting, inappropriate touch, etc. </p><p>Anyone found engaging in such behavior will be thrown out at once &amp; may never be able to attend my dance parties again. </p><p>If you see something, say something by bringing it to the attention of the venue staff or me directly. </p><p>༺༻</p><h2>A brief history of JAI HO! in Portland: </h2><p>I moved to the US from India in 2003 for graduate school at Cornell University, and started DJing, teaching dance + hosting events in Portland after quitting a full-time job at Intel back in 2009. </p><p>Since then, I have traveled regularly across the west coast, Denver, and New Orleans to produce MAD AWESOME dance parties, creating and fostering communities centered around celebrating world music &amp; dance with a focus on south asian culture. </p><p>༺༻</p><h2>Land Acknowledgement: </h2><p>We at Bollywood Dreams seek to practice deep regard and respect for the Indigenous Peoples on whose lands we have the opportunity to live, work and play. </p><p>We acknowledge that Jai Ho!
