Attendee Registration Page

The 16th Ablation Workshop brings together researchers, students, government representatives, national laboratories, industry professionals, and university partners to share current research, discuss technical challenges, and build collaboration in aerospace and thermal protection systems.

REGISTRATION: PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU PROCEED

  • If paying by credit card, register your attendees and purchase your tickets here.
  • If you need an invoice or have a purchase order, do not register your attendees on this site. Instead, please contact Stanley Cheng at scheng2@nmsu.edu with your request.

Participants may register under one of the following categories:

General Attendee: $300 registration rate per person applies to general workshop participants.

Student Attendee: $200 registration rate per person applies to undergraduate and graduate students attending the workshop without presenting. Have student I.D. ready when registering.

Student Presenter: $75 registration rate per person applies to undergraduate and graduate students who are the first author and presenting author of a submitted abstract for a poster or oral presentation. Each submitted abstract may be associated with one reduced Student Presenter registration. If you are a student presenter from NMSU, UNM, NMT, or UTEP, you may qualify for a sponsored registration. Please contact Francisco Torres at fratorhe@nmsu.edu or call (575) 646-2024 before registering to verify your eligibility.

To qualify for this rate, abstracts must be complete, relevant to the workshop scope, and suitable for review by the organizing committee. The organizing committee reserves the right to reclassify registrations if a submitted abstract is incomplete, outside the scope of the workshop, or not suitable for inclusion in the technical program.

New Mexico Student: $75 reduced registration rate per person is available to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at a university or college in New Mexico. This option is intended to encourage local and regional student participation in the workshop.

Please review the eligibility requirements for each registration category before selecting a ticket.

Tour participation requirements: Optional technical tours may be offered as part of the workshop experience. Please note that access to certain facilities may be subject to security, export-control, and operational requirements. In addition, travel to some tour locations may require passing through U.S. Border Patrol checkpoints. Some facility access restrictions, participation in the tours is limited to U.S. citizens, and proof of citizenship and government-issued identification may be required before access is granted. Registration does not guarantee access to all tours.

  • Opening Evening Reception: August 31, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Villanueva Victory Club, located inside NMSU's Stan Fulton Athletics Center Address: 1815 Wells St., Las Cruces, NM 88003
  • Technical Sessions: September 1 - 2, located inside NMSU's Corbett Center Student Union, 3rd Floor Ballrooms. Address: 1600 International Mall, Las Cruces, NM 88003
  • Banquet Dinner: September 2, from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum. Address: 4100 Dripping Springs Rd, Las Cruces, NM 88011
  • Tours to be confirmed (see tour participation requirements):
  • ITAR Session (participation limited to U.S. persons). September 3, 2026, inside NMSU's Physical Science Laboratory. Address: 1050 Stewart St., Las Cruces, NM 88001

EVENTBRITE FEES & CANCELLATION POLICY FOR THE 16TH ABLATION WORKSHOP 2026

The event management website, Eventbrite, charges a service fee per credit card transaction, which the conference absorbs on your behalf at the time of the transaction. Should you need to cancel your registration, you will receive a refund, less the service fee. Refunds are available through August 20, 2026. You may also transfer your ticket to someone else. Note that credit card transactions can be refunded promptly. Check and cash refunds will require some paperwork and about one month to complete.
