Friday Headliner: The Gobshites

The Gobshites

Live on the Jenkins Law main stage at the Historic Williams Park Bandshell, The Gobshites, bringing their uniquely raucous blend of Irish-punk and Celtic folk to Paddy Fest St. Pete on Friday, March 13. Known for “Irishing up” punk tracks and classic pop hits with infectious energy, they’ve been delighting crowds worldwide since 2002. Led by long-time frontman Peter Walsh, The Gobshites marry traditional Irish instrumentation with raw punk spirit — accordion, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, and guitar all collide into sing-along revelry. The band’s live shows are equal parts rowdy and affectionate, turning familiar melodies into something fresh and electrifying that keeps audiences smiling, singing, and raising a pint. Whether they’re spinning original songs, stirring up crowd favorites, or reworking punk anthems into Celtic-infused singalongs, The Gobshites are a perfect kickoff to Paddy Fest’s spirited weekend celebration.
