The South Suburban Chicago (IL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, is excited to introduce The LEGO Academy (Links Eliminating Gaps through Opportunities)—a free, year-long, multigenerational community program designed for students in 6th grade and above, adults, and senior citizens in the South Suburban community.What is The LEGO Academy? It’s a community program that provides workshops, field trips, meals, and resources to help families strengthen education, careers, health, culture, civic life, and access to healthy food.What’s included for FREE?<ul><li>🎓 Education &amp; Careers: Scholarships, community service hours, resume, cover letter &amp; personal statement help, elevator pitch coaching, FREE professional headshots, mock interviews, digital skills, field trips, and laptops for select participants</li><li>🗳️ Civic Engagement: Deputy voter registrar training, FREE state IDs/Real IDs, FREE birth certificates, and FREE Ventra passes</li><li>🍎 Health &amp; Wellness: FREE Screenings and workshops</li><li>🥗 Food Security: FREE hot meals at every session + FREE groceries to take home</li></ul>Who can join?<ul><li>Students in grades 6 –12</li><li>Adults and senior citizens</li></ul>Spaces are limited. Please reserve your spot at one of our upcoming informational sessions. We can’t wait to welcome your family to The LEGO Academy!
