Seeds of Caring

Children will purchase and/or conduct a donation drive to collect new or gently used toddler winter essentials.

Who this Anywhere Project is for:Ages 2-12. Not sure if this project is the right fit for your kids? Email us with questions at programs@seedsofcaring.org.What you'll be doing:Keep kids cozy this winter! Children will gain empathy for loving families who may be having a hard time providing everything their little ones need through a read aloud and age-appropriate discussion. Then, helping hands will collect new or gently used toddler (2T-6T) winter essentials, like hats and mittens, that will be distributed to families supported by <a href="https://www.columbusearlylearning.org/" title="https://www.columbusearlylearning.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Columbus Early Learning Centers</a>. Your confirmation email will include a flyer that children can use to host their own neighborhood clothing drive, if you so choose.When you'll be doing it:This Anywhere Project can be done at home, school, or wherever you are!This project is on-going. Families and groups may participate anytime until the project ends on November 2nd. Donations may be contact-free, porch-dropped from 9am - 7pm October 31st- November 2nd at a Seeds of Caring Ambassador's home in Dublin, Lewis Center, Bexley or Upper Arlington. Addresses are provided in your service packet.How it all works:Once you have completed registration, you will receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite with a link to your service packet. This packet includes project instructions, guided discussions and more. This project's guided discussion focuses on service and limited resources.Approximate Cost:Free. Familes are encourage to conduct a clothing drive for new or gently used items but are also welcome to purchase new items.Why you'll be invited to donate:Every time we're able to design, coordinate, and offer an opportunity for kids to give back, it's with the help of supporters like you.
