Blue Ridge PRISM (Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management) is a  volunteer-driven organization dedicated to reducing the negative impact of  invasive plants on the health of the natural and agricultural environment in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.

Blue Ridge PRISM Fall Invasive Plant Workshop 2021 - Introduction to Invasive Plants: Identification and Control

Blue Ridge PRISM&#x27;s Fall Invasive Plant Workshop offers two virtual sessions (Introduction and Identification on September 21 and Control on September 23). Optional in-person field days (separate registration required) will be held in Charlottesville and Washington, VA. The two virtual sessions will be recorded. Those who register will receive access to the recordings. Topics covered in our fall sessions include:Identifying invasive plantsWhich invasive plants you can best control nowWhich invasive plants you should treat laterBest seasonal practices for each invasiveUsing manual &amp; mechanical control methodsMethods for controlling invasive plants with herbicidesChoosing the right herbicide and equipment, and using them properlyPlanning a work schedule with best timings for multiple plants
