Photograph The North End...with only a 50mm lens!

&lt;strong&gt;About the Nifty Fifty Workshops&lt;/strong&gt;Every photographer at one point or another has the internal struggle before going to photograph: What lenses should I bring with me today? The common answer is as many as I can without being too uncomfortable. And so we pack up our wide, standard, telephoto, prime, and macro lenses and head out into the field, forcing ourselves to endure limitless choices while sacrificing simplicity. Our Nifty Fifty workshops flip the script and force you to only carry one lens: A 50mm lens, nostalgically referred to as a &quot;nifty fifty&quot;. With limitations, what can you-- the photographer, the creator, the artist-- achieve?These workshops will start with our basic photo walk, where we will meet in the field and work with only a 50mm lens in a specific location. Attendees will then submit a handful of images for an online image review, to be held a few days later. During that image review, we will be able to see others&#x27; work, discuss how to achieve different effects, and consider editing choices. This is an excellent workshop for all photographers--from Beginner to Advanced--because it forces you to work in a different way.&lt;strong&gt;Walk Description&lt;/strong&gt;For this workshop, we will be photographing in one of Boston&#x27;s most notable neighborhoods, and its oldest: The North End. This tightly knit area is known as “Little Italy” given the prominent Italian-American influence and population found here. Quaint eateries, fine restaurants, and historic locations are characteristics that make the North End one of Boston’s premier destinations, and also make it a rewarding location for photographers of every skill level, all using that lovely 50mm glass.*Question: Are other prime lenses acceptable? Olympus/Panasonic users may use a 25mm lens, since it gives the same look as a 50mm and other primes can be used as an alternative, but we ask that you try to keep it at one prime in as close to that range as possible. Remember- this is a &quot;nifty fifty&quot; workshop, not a &quot;mighty ninety&quot; workshop. (And does that even really rhyme?)
