<h3>Train Schedule</h3>Dennison to Newark.Depart Dennison at 9:00am.Arrive in Newark at 11:00am.Enjoy a 3-hour layover in Newark.Depart Newark at 2:00pm.Arrive in Dennison at 4:00pm. <h3>Description</h3>Welcome to one of Ohio’s oldest and most historic cities! Founded in 1802, Newark has been the hub of industry, transportation and culture for centuries. We are excited you can experience this history firsthand by arriving by train.Join us for our annual Newark Strawberry Festival, which takes place the weekend after Memorial Day every year in Downtown Newark, OH. The event is hosted by the Newark Kiwanis Club and features their famous strawberry shortcake, in addition to food vendors, rides for people of all ages, music and entertainment and a fireworks display. Every year, 30,000-50,000 attend the family friendly event, which has taken place for over 40 years.Along with celebrating everything strawberry we will have curated experiences for all ages and interests, including historical tours of four famed architectural buildings. Our restaurants are also ready to whet your appetites with some of the most eclectic menus in Central Ohio.Added Bonus: All passengers will have free admission tothe Works Museum, (Saturday Trip Only.)Additional Attractions: While in Newark, you have the opportunity to join an architecture tour at the Newark Arcade, Courthouse West Courtroom, Midland Theater, Louise Sullivan Buildingt and Historic Jail. All tours are free with the exception of the Jail which is $10 per person. Children under 12 are free (at the Works Musuem--not for the train).Option: Travel by train to Newark on Saturday and stay overnight in Newark at the Doubletree by Hilton. Enjoy great dining in town. Take the return train back to Dennison Sunday at 3pm. Acessibility StatementDue to the historic nature of vintage rail equipment, the trains are not handicappedaccessible. Historic and antiquated rail passenger equipment are exempt from ADAregulations under U.S. Code: Title 42: Section 12184. The passenger cars and mostboarding facilities used on these excursions were constructed before disabilityaccessibility laws were adopted. Platforms, boarding areas, stairs, step-boxes, seating,and especially doorways, passageways, aisles, and onboard restrooms may notaccommodate all passengers. We will make all reasonable efforts to accommodatedifferently abled passengers who desire to ride the train. Motorized wheelchairs and/orscooters cannot be accommodated onboard any of our trains at any time. REFUND POLICY: There are no cancellations or refunds allowed. We cannot chnage the date, time, or class of your tickets.
