Please see the description on the virtual format for more details.</h3><h3> </h3><h3>After signing up for your free ticket you will be given a link to register for the webinar via Zoom.</h3><p><strong> </strong></p><h1>WHAT?</h1><p><strong>The Inaugural BIPOC Founders PitchForce will provide BIPOC founders a great opportunity to receive valuable advice from a panel of savvy BIPOC Angel investors, VCs and successful startup founders. There is no fee to present.</strong></p><p><strong>The event will be held on Thursday, October 21, from 3:00-5:00 PT.</strong></p><p><strong>While innovative ideas and entrepreneurial talent are evenly distributed among all communities, opportunity and funding are not. In an effort to level the playing field for communities that have been historically underrepresented in the startup and investment world, this event gives BIPOC Founders a chance to receive feedback and get follow-up meetings with BIPOC investors.</strong></p><h1>WHO?</h1><p><strong>Producing the event is Max Shapiro, CEO of PeopleConnect, a 20 year-old high tech startup recruiting firm.  He has been hosting monthly pitch events for the past 8 years. PeopleConnect is the most unique recruiting firm in the world, featuring their Employees Without Paychecks model whereby PeopleConnect places individuals at early stage tech companies who are willing to work for options only for the first three months of their employment.</strong></p><h1>Fireside Chat with Diishan Imira</h1><p><a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/diishan-imira-6897aa44/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><strong>Diishan Imira</strong></a><strong> will be joining us for a Fireside Chat. Dubbed “the Black Hair King of Silicon Valley” by Essence Magazine, Diishan is the Co-Founder and CEO of </strong><a href="https://shop.mayvenn.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><strong>Mayvenn</strong></a><strong>, a technology company that is re-shaping salon retail distribution.</strong></p><p><strong>Since pitching his company, Mayvenn, at PitchForce over 10 years ago, Diishan has participated in the 500 Startups Accelerator and raised $48 million from Andreessen Horowitz, Essence Ventures, MaC Venture Capital, Trinity Ventures and individual investors such as Steve Stoute, Jimmy Iovine, Anjula Acharia, NBA star Andre Iguodala and tennis pro Serena Williams. There will be up to two questions from the panel.</strong></p><p><strong>·      After each company’s elevator pitch the panel will vote on a scale of 1-5 as to how much they like the company.</strong></p><p><strong>·      The top 5 vote getters will get to do a 4-minute ppt followed by 4 minutes of question and answers followed by 4 minutes of non-rebuttal feedback. The panelists will vote again on the company based on their 4-minute ppt.</strong></p><p><strong>·      Winners will be announced following the pitches.
