Come celebrate National Public Lands Day with the first ever Adopt-A-Lake cleanup at Woods Canyon Lake in Payson, AZ!

<a href="http://www.keepnaturewild.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Keep Nature Wild</a> is hosting a cleanup alongside Arizona Game and Fish at Woods Canyon Lake. To celebrate National Public Lands Day we will be showing the lake some TLC as a part of the new Adopt-A-Lake program being launched. Come pick up litter, enjoy educational resources from Leave No Trace and Arizona Game and Fish biologists and wildlife experts.We can't wait to see you and serve alongside you!<h2>The Deets</h2>Who: Everyone. Bring friends, family, and more friends! Nice dogs on leashes are welcome as well.What: Trash cleanup around the Woods Canyon Lake area.When: 9/25/21 from 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. **We will have staggering start times for volunteers, which means you can come join us any time between 9 and noon for as long or as little as you'd like! Where: Woods Canyon Lake. Click on map for exact parking locations. <h2>Stuff to Know</h2>1. Wear outdoor appropriate attire and your <a href="http://www.keepnaturewild.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Keep Nature Wild gear</a> is always a plus :). Shoes/boots and long pants are always recommended as well as a hat or some form of shade. 2. Parking: Please park at Woods Canyon Lake and carpool if possible!**From Phoenix:Take State Route 87 to Payson. Go East On Highway 260 to the top of the Mogollon Rim. Make a left after mile marker 282 onto Forest Road 300. Go 4 miles on FR300 and take a right on FR 105. The Lake, Store, and Campsites are 1 mile down FR105. Clean Up Site #1: Rocky Point TrailheadClean Up Site #2: Main Boat RampClean Up Site #3: Spillway Campground3. We will provide bags, gloves and masks. Please bring water, sunscreen, hats, etc. Feel free to bring trash grabbers and buckets in lieu of bags4. You don't need any sort of pass or permit for this event, parking and enjoyment of the area is free :)5. Cleanup events are inherently dangerous and can be strenuous. Please read and sign our liability form before participating.6. We will be registering volunteer hours with Arizona Game and Fish so that any time you spend with us out there will also go towards grants and development!
