COLLECTOR’S PREVIEW: Collectors of all interest levels are invited to join the artists and curator Julie McKim for a preview and artist talks on Friday September 17, 2021 at 7pm. Tickets are $75, with the cost of the ticket going towards any art purchase. Collectors will have first dibs on work before the main opening Saturday.The Mod House is pleased to introduce our inaugural art show the weekend of September 17th - 19th, 2021. Curated by Julie McKim, a veteran New York art world mover with experience at The Whitney, Performa, The Kitchen, and Kunsthalle Galapagos, the show features artists Leslie Kerby, Grayson Cox, Natalie Capannelli, Juan Hinojosa, Jennifer Mack-Watkins, and Erik Hougen.The show will be hung in the living quarters of The Mod House, a 1964 mid century modern lodge and event space in Ellenville. The art will be integrated into all of the rooms, with the goal of showing artwork hung in a home where it will ultimately live, rather than a gallery. In doing so, it’s our hope to provide interested collectors with an intimate experience with the work itself, removing barriers to imagining what it might be like to live with the artwork.
