Thank you for registering to Addressing the Unconquerable World of Uncertainty: Research by Mentees of John Kane symposium in recognition of Dr. John Kane's retiring from his clinical role at Zucker Hillside Hospital.

After 33 years of service, John Kane, MD, is stepping down as chair of the department of psychiatry at The Zucker Hillside Hospital. He will also step down as chair of psychiatry at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell - a position he has held since the school&#x27;s founding in 2008. He will continue to serve as the director of the Institute of Behavioral Science at The Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research. Dr. Kane has led the department to become a leading site in the nation for clinical care and training and a major site worldwide for research in psychiatry. He is ranked as one of the most influential and highly cited scientists in psychiatric research, having generated key knowledge to advance the care of those who live with mental illness. In addition, he has been a tireless and dedicated mentor who has influenced dozens of young investigators around the world who continue to make numerous contributions to the field. To celebrate and thank John Kane for his immeasurable influence, some of his mentees will discuss the impactful research that they have been able to accomplish, thanks in part to his intellectual generosity and support.
