The Zamir Chorale of Boston’s mission is to awaken audiences of all ages, religions, and races to the breadth and beauty of Jewish culture. Founded in 1969 by Dr. Joshua Jacobson, Artistic Director, Zamir educates, inspires, and entertains through performances, symposia, recordings, publications, and the commissioning of new musical works.Zamir performs music spanning hundreds of years and four continents. The Chorale's repertoire includes Jewish liturgical pieces, major classical works, music of the Holocaust, as well as Israeli, Yiddish, and Ladino folksongs, and now offers virtual programming.

Nashirah, the acclaimed Jewish Chorale of Philadelphia, fresh off a series of concerts in Paris, returns to Boston for a joint concert with Zamir. The combined choruses will encompass the audience on three sides for an immersive sonic experience similar to our recent concert in the round.The program will feature music from a variety of traditions, including Hebrew, Yiddish, and Ladino songs; tributes to America’s semiquincentennial; and an ode to Kyiv, the birthplace of Nashirah’s conductor, Julia Zavadsky.Buy tickets now!
