Taste our garden veggies, join the animals in their pasture, learn to feed chickens, and walk through our historic buildings in this guided farm walk! This program is the perfect introduction to all that happens at Gorman Heritage Farm for new members, first time farm visitors, families, and individuals looking to get closer to the animals and gardens. <h3>FAQs</h3>What ages is this program suited for?This program is great for adults and families with children 3 years of age and older. This is a delightful way for participants to get a more behind-the-scenes look at the farm’s history, animals, and food production.Can I bring a child that is under 3 years of age?Families that have children under 3 years of age that are to accompanying their family to the program must indicate so by adding a free ticket &quot;Under 3&quot; ticket to their order. Children under the age of 3 years old will not be allowed into animal pastures unless carried by an adult at all times. While many pathways through the farm are stroller accessible, much of the program will take participants off the path into pastures, gardens, and barns. Thus, carriers are recommended rather than strollers. What should I wear?Dress for the weather and be prepared to walk about a mile on a path with some detours into pastures and gardens. Close-toed shoes are highly recommended for those wishing to get closer to the animals. Please bring a mask to wear in the indoor facilities!Where should we park and meet?You can park in our parking and meet the educator in front of the Interpretive Center. Are masks required?Gorman Heritage Farm currently requires all visitors over the age of 5 regardless of vaccination status to bring and wear masks in all indoor facilities. While most of this program takes place outdoors, there will be indoor portions to use tools and visit animals. Bathroom facilities are also located indoors. Any participants who do not bring masks will be required to wait outside for these portions of the program. Children who are under 5 years of age are encouraged to wear masks if they are able to.*This program will take place almost entirely outdoors and will run rain or shine. Dress for the weather! In the case of dangerous weather, this program will be cancelled and participants notified through the email or phone number used to register.**No refunds except in the case of cancellation - Your ticket purchase helps forward our non-profit mission at Gorman Heritage Farm to educate on sustainability, nutrition, agriculture, and the environment.***WARNING: Under Ohio law, there is no liability for an injury to or death of a participant in an agritourism activity conducted at this agritourism location if that injury or death results from the inherent risks of that agritourism activity.
