Yes!  Your local watershed coordinator will capture your input and share it with the people responsible for creating the final L.A. County Watershed Plan and make sure your ideas become a part of the vision.

I just want to save trees (or fish, or birds or...), how will this help?

Safe, Clean Water L.A. funds can support Nature Based Solutions  that will improve water quality and local water supply. Tell us what you see as a path to using Nature Based Solutions to improve our region.

Question 3

Why do our schools have so many acres of asphalt? Can we do anything about this?

Accepted Answer

Yes!  Safe, Clean Water L.A. can be a funding source for greening schoolyards. Tell us about your school!

Question 4

The Santa Monica Mountains have s-l-o-w percolation, how can we increase local water supply?

Accepted Answer

Cisterns are one option for capturing rainwater.  Tell us where you'd like to see some big cisterns built.

I'm interested in local water supply, but am not sure what the options are here.

Cesar Campos from Spherical Studios is going to give us an introduction to a stunning mapping program that will allow us to see where water quality and water supply problems and opportunities are.

Watershed coordinator Melina Watts will give an overview of current projects underway across the Santa Monica Mountains including both infrastructure projects and some cool environmental education work.
